 The economies that are undergoing a rapid development around the world are changing the business landscape, posing both opportunities and challenges for global companies in mature markets who want to work with companies and governments of these countries. Sun announced in June the formation of the Emerging Markets Sales Region to exploit this opportunity and accelerate growth. Peter Ryan was appointed executive vice president of global sales and service organization that covers the emerging markets. Last week, Google Mexico hosted the first event for webmasters called Google Search Masters 2008 in Mexico City. The main objective of this event, told by the organizers: To promote among the Latino community of webmasters the increasing Latin American presence on the internet with more quality content for Spanish language is the second most used on the Internet.
The event took place at the Centro Banamex in Mexico City and was totally free for those who reached quota, since it only had space for 400 participants. The event took place in the typical and informal work environment that characterizes Google. The agenda was as follows:
