Linux en las escuelas One thing that cost me more work to understand is why GNU & Linux do not teach in government schools? Being able to teach something different, more innovative and above all, more free, that could bridge the digital divide, reduce piracy and eliminating computer viruses, that are taught to use proprietary software tools.

This is a question we should all ask ourselves. Since we are developing Latin American country, and in which we all know, we are not power or have a huge budget to spend on purchasing licenses of Microsoft Windows or Office. Imagine, $ 100 for the Windows license, plus $ 400 per Office license, that's the price of a complete computer.

Teach in our schools, GNU & Linux makes me a natural and obvious step for a world of benefits including:
