JoomFish Google Translator: How it works 8 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 2
Now in English

This is a plugin, and it installs as usually, login to yoursite.com/administrator, then in the menu extensions=>install/uninstall

Once you have it installed, you should go to extensions=>manage plugins and filter by type=system

You will see in the list

System - JoomFish Google Translator

Click on the title to edit the plugin configuration, you need to enable it ("Habilitar plugin" need to be in "si"), and the publish it.

Once this is done, you need to browse your site. The translations are made automatically when someone navigates your site. (I'm working in a flag that enables this automatic translation ONLY on bots visits, to avoid make waiting to the visitors)

Google requires a pause between translations, so there is a 5 minute pause between each translation process. You will start looking something like this on your in-process articles:

JFGT ART 16 es => en (0/3)

This is article with ID 16, translating from spanish to ENglish in the step 0 of 3.

When all the steps are done, the article will be complete, and the translated text will be available on your Joomfish translation menu. If you don't have joomla cache enabled, you will see the translated text just on the next refresh of the page.

Please, tell me if this info is complete.

PS: This plugins create a folder on your joomla temp directory, there it stores temporary data about translations in progress. You can delete it safely, but it will be recreated every time there is a new article to be translated. And of course, translated articles will not store any temporary data on that folder

JoomFish Google Translator problem

Re:JoomFish Google Translator: How it works 8 Months, 1 Week ago
I followed your install steps, but I can't click on the title to enable and oublisg the plugin. I'm using Joomla 1.5.14 and I don't see the pluging anywhere except under Extension Manager ->plugins. I can see System - Joomfish Google Translator line, which show as compatible, but I can't find it anywhere else. Plugin Manager shows only the Joomfish Missing Translation plugin.

What am I doing wrong?

Did you receive an OK at the install?

Your Joomla is in English?

Ok, at menu "Extensions" you should have 4 submenus.

One of them is to manage Plugins.

Enter to that one, there you can scroll and paginate until you see this plugin.
