The plugin EasyPing creates an error on my site when submitting and applying edits to an article.

System:
joomla 1.5.15
easyping 1.2

Behavior:
Bug found both in front-end and back-end.
On submitting a new article or on applying edits, the article is saved/edited however a blank page returns. In other words, after I submit a new or edited article, the actual article is saved, though I end up with a blank page.

Disabling only the easyping plugin solves the problem. Meaning: I disabled the plugin currently to avoid issues.

Let me know how what kind of information you need from me to solve the issue.

do you have access to your access_log and error_log files?

If yes, please check if they contains some php errors there. Maybe you are missing the CURL extension of php in your server.

I think i have the same problem, but not with timing out. It just takes forever to save or edit an article. More than a minute sometimes.

maybe you have a problem inside your server with firewall. This plugin needs to connect to the original server of the images and to various web services (blog pings) using http method.

maybe you can check if you have http connectivity from your server to others.
